I liked sleeping on this pillow far more than I thought I would based on first appearances, as it’s flat and - to be frank - a bit odd-looking. It’s 60cm in length, so slightly shorter than the standard 70cm, which also means it looks a little sad and small in my pillowcase. However, I rapidly changed my tune when I lay down on it. An ideal pillow should adapt to the way you lie, taking the weight off any pressure points and helping you to stay still for a good quality Derila Sleep Support. Because of its memory foam core, this one was supremely Comfortable Sleep Pillow, giving individualised support and moulding to the shape of my head and neck. It’s lighter and softer than other memory foam models too, which I liked as it’s more like a pillow and less like a medical headrest. Another criticism usually levelled at memory foam is that it retains too much heat, but this pillow felt breathable - perhaps because of the soft, naturally hypoallergenic bamboo cover. The latter means it could be the pillow for you if you have sensitive skin. It’s also OEKO-TEX certified, which means that it’s free from harmful chemicals.
